Shaquille O'Neal

Shaquille Rashaun O'Neal, nicknamed "Shaq", is one of the American professional basketball player for the NBA's Boston Celtics. Standing 7 ft 1 in high and weighing 325 pounds, he is one of the heaviest players always to play in the NBA. Throughout his 18 year career, O'Neal has used his size and power to overpower opponents for points and rebounds. After the leaving of Lindsey Hunter on March 5, 2010, O'Neal became the oldest active player in the NBA. He was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the first overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft. He speedily became one of the top centers in the league, winning Rookie of the year in 1992–93 and later leading his team to the 1995 NBA Finals. After four years with the Magic, O'Neal signed as a free manager with the Los Angeles Lakers.

He won three successive championships, playing alongside Kobe Bryant, in 2000, 2001, and 2002. O'Neal's relationship with Bryant eventually declined into a feud, leading to O'Neal's trade to the Miami Heat in 2004. He won his fourth NBA championship in 2006, but was deal midway through the season a year and a half later to the Phoenix Suns. After a season-and-a-half with the Suns, O'Neal was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he played beside LeBron James in the 2009–10 season. He has released four rap albums, with his first, Shaq Diesel, going platinum. He has also show in numerous films and has starred in his own reality shows, Shaq's Big Challenge and Shaq Vs.

Michael Jordan

http://the-american-history.blogspot.com/Michael Jeffrey Jordan is a former American professional basketball player, active businessman, and greater part owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. His biography on the National Basketball Association (NBA) website states, "By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the utmost basketball player of all time." Jordan was one of the most efficiently marketed athletes of his generation and was instrumental in popularizing the NBA around the world in the 1980s and 1990s. Where he led the Tar Heels to a National Championship in 1982, Jordan attached the NBA's Chicago Bulls in 1984. He speedily emerged as a league star, entertaining crowds with his prolific scoring. His leaping capability, illustrated by performing slam dunks from the free throw line in slam dunk contests, earned him the nicknames "Air Jordan" and "His Airness".

He gained a standing for being one of the best defensive players in basketball. In 1991, he won his first NBA championship with the Bulls, and followed that success with titles in 1992 and 1993, securing a "three-peat". Although Jordan abruptly retired from basketball at the beginning of the 1993–94 NBA season to follow a career in baseball, he rejoined the Bulls in 1995 and led them to three extra championships as well as an NBA-record 72 usual season wins in the 1995–96 NBA season. Jordan retired for a second time in 1999, but returned for two more NBA seasons in 2001 as an associate of the Washington Wizards.
