John Adams was an American politician and political philosopher and the 2nd President of the United States, past being the first Vice President of the United States for two terms. He was one of the most powerful Founding Fathers of the United States. As a representative of Congress in Europe, he was a major negotiator of the eventual peace treaty with Great Britain, and primarily responsible for obtaining significant loans from Amsterdam bankers. He encountered vicious attacks by the Jeffersonian Republicans, as well as the leading faction in his own Federalist Party led by his bitter enemy Alexander Hamilton. The major achievement of his presidency was his peaceful resolution of the Quasi-War in the face of Hamiltonian opposition.

James Madison was one of the American politician and political philosopher who served as the 4th President of the United States and is consider one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He was the principal author of the US establishment, and is often called the "Father of the Constitution”. The first president to have served in the United States Congress, he was a head in the 1st United States Congress, drafting many basic laws, and was answerable for the first ten amendments to the establishment and thus is also known as the "Father of the Bill of Rights". Madison worked closely with President George Washington to arrange the new federal government. He supported the making of the second National Bank, a strong military, and a high tariff to keep the new factories opened during the war.
